Transcription: Cache, located on the motherboard, is fast memory that sits between the CPU and RAM. Its purpose is to speed up processing. How does it do it? It tries to anticipate what the CPU needs, read it from RAM, and have it ready ahead of time. The CPU will first check the cache for the data or instructions it needs. If the data is not in the cache, the CPU will then check RAM second. If the CPU is able to retrieve the data from the cache, it gets the data quicker. This speeds up processing.
